-Getting Cosy-

As Christmas begins to descend upon us, things just seem to get that little bit cosier!

Hi all! Today I thought I’d share with you the things I do to make myself feel extra cosy and somewhat festive. We’re over half-way through November now – the festive stuff is allowed!

Jumpers and scarves: I love a good, thick jumper that can keep me warm on frosty and cold days. I’ve been into mustard recently too and was surprised to find that the colour actually suits me. I have a range of different jumpers and cardigans that I love creating looks with – I’m all about layers. Scarves are great too and I especially love the velvet kind.

Candles and scents: Candles are one of my favourite things and they’re also a great gift ideas. I love Yankee Candles but have recently found a new love in Woodwick candles. They’re trilogy collection is my favourite and the great thing about most of their candles is that they crackle! I love the sound of fire crackling as the wood burns. The scents I tend to go for are festive and wood scents.

Movies and books: I’ve been getting back into reading lately and I find that snuggling down with a blanket and a book/kindle in hand is very relaxing and helps me zone out from reality for a bit – we all need that from time to time. I love watching films but there are a few that make me feel extra cosy. A few examples of my comfort films are; The Mummy, ELF and Ice Age.

Hot drinks: This one’s a no-brainer. Everything is better with tea but everything is cosier with a hot chocolate. And not just any hot chocolate… but a Cadbury’s hot chocolate (that sounded a bit too like a Marks and Spencer ad). And yes, I do have my hot chocolate in a Christmas mug!! 😀

Now all you have to do is mix all them things together and you have the cosiest day/night ever! It’s also great if you go for a winter walk before hand – somewhere scenic or out of town. Surround yourself in nature and you’ll begin to feel your mind unwind. What do you do to get cosy and what kind of hot chocolate do you love? ❤

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a lovely and safe day/night~!
