Lauren Recommends: Flora Banks

Hello, beautiful people! I decided to create a new blog series called ‘Lauren Recommends’ (where I recommend films/music/beauty products/etc. that I love) and the first post is about a book I have recently read and think you should all check out. 🙂

The One Memory of Flora Banks is written by Emily Barr and it’s a very interesting story about a young girl called Flora Banks; whom suffers with amnesia and cannot remember anything for very long, ie/ the jokes she made with friends, the instructions her parents gave her or even her age.

She then kisses a boy on a beach and suddenly that’s the one thing that sticks in her head every day. So, the guy moves away and we join Flora on her tense and nail-biting journey to find him.

This story seriously had me sitting on the edge of my bed and I could not put it down. There’s so many twists and turns and things happened that I didn’t believe would.

Warning! I cried twice during my read of this book, so I’d probably keep a box of tissues nearby as you reach the end. The ending is also frustrating at parts. I don’t want to say too much as I don’t wish to spoil it for you so hurry and read it! 😀

Overall, this book is very well written and I did nothing but sympathise with Flora throughout. Definitely a book you should check out. If Flora can do it then so can you!! ❤

Thank you for taking the time to view this post and I hope you’re having a wonderful day/night~!

Lauren. X
