Eyeliners: The Good and The Bad!

I’m a person who hardly ever wore eyeliner and then all of a sudden I decided I wanted them goddamn wings!

Sooo, I trawled through the inter-webs in search of a decent eyeliner. Let me just mention that I already had a felt liner from Collection. However, a few months ago I turned to cruelty free make-up so I had to go out and find another eyeliner. The Collection one was actually decent to say it only cost £2.99.

Let’s start with the bad…

E.L.F cosmetics is fairly popular throughout the whole make-up community and I already use their mascara which I love for a natural everyday look. And so, I decided to give their eyeliners a go but…. nah!

I first tried the Intense Ink Eyeliner (the chunky one) and it seemed okay at first but when I got to the outer corner of the eye it started to dry out and don’t even get me started on doing the wings- barely any product came out.

I then moved onto the Waterproof Eyeliner Pen (the skinny one) and I had all fingers and toes crossed for this one. It started off amazing… then dropped when I reached the wings. Again it started to dry out. I shook them and kept them placed upside down but nothing was gonna bring that product out!

E.L.F have received so much love and praise and, yes, some of their products are amazing but these eyeliners are a fail (in my opinion). I just could NOT get them to work.

Now for the good:

Apparently, the NYX Epic Ink Liner is a cheaper dupe of Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner. Now, I tried Kat’s liner and it was good but I had to keep shaking it because product was struggling to come out.

I did NOT have this problem with the NYX liner. It glided on smoothly and stayed. Of course, it took some practice at first because it’s a brush tip but I think I’m getting used to it.

So yeah, if you’re looking for a new eyeliner, get this one! 🙂

Hopefully, I explained things clearly but just to summarise… E.L.F eyeliners = NO and NYX eyeliner = YES!! ❤

With a bit more practice, I should be mastering the cat eye~!

Thank you for taking the time to view my blog, I hope you’re all having a wonderful and safe day/night!
