My First Glossybox!~

I am a major sucker for mystery boxes – both at birthdays and Christmas, I believe the best gifts are the ones that you have no idea about.

Lootcrate is an amazing subscription box and I wanted to give it an honerable mention – it’s for all you fellow geeks out there! πŸ™‚ I ended up unsubscribing simply because I just did not have the room for any of the stuff in my tiny bedroom – but if you have the shelf space then I would definitely recommend it.

So, found a beauty subscription box called Glossybox and I’m not sure what I was expecting but it definitely impressed me.

The box is very beautiful (this is the December box) and well worth the money when you look at the RRP of the products. It’s not just the box that’s beautiful either, but also, the way it’s all packaged up inside. πŸ™‚

Starting at the left, we have the Revlon nail varnish in the shade Valentine. It’s a very deep red colour which I think is a perfect colour for the winter season – as well as amazing for all year round.

We the have Essence’s ‘Light Up Your Face Luminizer Palette’. I’m not big on highlighting myself but I know, working on a cosmetic isle, that everyone else seems to be obsessed with adding a bit of shimmer to their faces – do it right and I think it looks beautiful.

On the right we have Collection’s brow powder – this is the shade ‘brunette’. I’m personally not one to mess with my brows – I don’t get them shaped, nor do I use any eyebrow products but my mother was over the moon when I offered her the product and she’s looking forward to giving it a go.

In the image to the right we have the seventy year old brand – lipcote. This product is highly requested in the store where I work but I’ve never gotten around to trying it myself and now I can. I’ll probably test it on the lipstick you can see in the picture.

MDMflow’s lipstick is in the shade Vamp and it’s a nice, deep red that matches the Revlon nail varnish. It’s also the most expensive item in the box; having a RRP of Β£18.

The box also comes with a cute, double-sided leaflet explaining each product and stating its value. It even gives you a sneak peak at what’s in next month’s box! πŸ™‚

Overall, my first impressions of the Glossybox are very positive ones and I can’t wait to try out the products and get my next box – so far, would recommend!!~

Thank you for taking the time to view my post and I hope you all have an amazing day/night!~

I have never subscribed to anything like this because I have a very specific taste when it comes to beauty and make-up (especially in terms of ingredients) but this does seem like a lot of fun. Especially when it’s a surprise. It’s like a little gift every month. Great breakdown and review, I’m loving your blog by the way. Looking forward to reading more of your blog posts.
